20% Down – 30 Days (If you need a little more time we will work with you). Defaulting on a lay-a-way will result in a $25.00 charge.


New Guns: New guns are warranted by the manufacturer, though Hoffman’s will gladly handle it for you. If we can repair the problem, then there is no charge. If the firearms has to be returned to the manufacturer, all you pay is a $25.00 S&H charge.
Used Guns: Used guns have a 30 day warranty. Hoffman’s will repair it or allow you full credit towards another gun. No refunds on any firearm – new or used


Hoffman’s will be happy to receive firearms from an out-of-state dealer. If you’re purchasing a firearm from a dealer or from an on-line auction site, just have the dealer e-mail us at FFL@HOFFGUN.COM, or fax us a request for our FFL (860-667-8189) and we will e-mail or fax ours over to them. Once we receive the firearm, we will call you and handle all the state and federal paperwork. Hoffman’s will handle your transfers for free. Two guns per week per person , for transfers larger than two the cost is $50.00 for the first then $25.00 there after.

To buy or handle a handgun in Connecticut you must be 21 years of age and have a CT Pistol Permit. To buy a rifle or shotgun you must possess a CT Pistol Permit, CT Long Gun Certificate, or CT Eligibility Certificate. With the new legislation, a Hunting License is no longer valid to purchase firearms in the state of CT. To purchase any caliber ammunition, a CT Pistol Permit or CT Ammunition Certificate is required.
